At our own property we offer agistment to local owners who wish to keep their horses close by, as we also have full dressage, jumping, and cross country facilities on our 300 acre block.
Those locals who work their horses on our property and manage their own feeding pay $55 per week for a private 2 acre paddock. If they are away at any time and want us to manage the feeding, we charge them $110 per week to rug and feed their horses.
Both Cath and I are Dorothy Hall trained herbalists and I have been in full time practice in Bathurst since 1985 and it wasn’t long before some of my patients began to question me about their animal’s health. Especially over the past 15 years the animal treatment side of my practice has really overtaken the human consultations and I now mail horse treatments all around Australia and occasionally to other countries as well.
Now that we have moved to live on our property, which is just 10 minutes out of town, we are ideally suited to have horses’ agisted with us and we can administer treatment and training for the full range of conditions horses suffer from.
So if you have a horse who needs to recover from some sort of physical illness or injury, a liver, kidney or infective problem, or a major handling or confidence issue, we can provide;
This program will provide the most rapid recovery and, is much more effective and less expensive, than common veterinary treatments. Full metabolic recovery health and energy, minimal scarring after injury, and the most long lasting nervous system recovery, is our aim in all cases.
We do believe that all recovery is best managed with plenty of access to a small private paddock and not to be confined in stables.
With training or nervous system issues, we can also advise and demonstrate to the owner the type of handling methods can ensure horse and owner can remain in a healthy and cooperative relationship, to ensure they don’t revert back into any patterns which can end up not supporting the horses need to feel in sync with their owner and master.
Our herbal medical agistment costs $110 per week, plus the cost of herbal medical programs, and we can take a horse really from anywhere in Australia.
We can run a program which might be for 3 months or longer, and encourage owners to come up to visit or camp for a few nights on our place as often as they wish, to be with their horses and to see and learn from us, as to how they can improve their own management and handling methods.
